As most of you know, I attended New York Fashion Week for the first time just a few days ago! I found out that I was going last minute. I learned soo much about Fashion Week and New York City in general, in a very short amount of time. I definitely have a better feel of what I need to do to make it even better next year! I don't live far from NYC, so I got on a train and made my way. My weekend began on Saturday morning. I went to Dan Liu's show. His pieces were so pretty and colorful! They were definitely wearable enough for any girl that wants an everyday look. Check out my vlog and Instagram for a look at pieces from his show! After that we saw Rebecca Minkoff's show which was outside and soo awesome! Then we set out for the Shop Style party, where we got some great goodies!

Sunday I visited my friend Meg and we wandered around SoHo. We had such a good lunch at Two Hands. We then got ice cream at Sundaes and Cones. It was a chill day for me since I didn't have any shows or events. At night, the girls I was staying with suggested we got out. We decided to walk around Times Square and grab pizza.

Monday was crazy for me! I woke up and walked around Central Park. Then we had a quick lunch...and I didn't wind up eating again until 10:30 that night! haha Anyways, we went to Leanne Marshall's show and it was fabulous! Her designs are right up my alley. Her dresses were mostly pastels and very flowy and whimsical. Check out my vlog and Instagram for a look at pieces from her show!

I ended the day with Vivienne Tam's show. Her pieces were amazing as well! I really loved all of the off the shoulder numbers as well as the vibrant colors she used. Here is a little bit about her idea behind the Spring '17 collection: "The collection is inspired by the vibrant diversity and energy of Houston, Texas." She used denim, suede, and fringe to emphasize the cowboy effect. She also used bright colors and crisp cotton that gave it a modern feel. Her show was exciting for me because I spotted a bunch of celebrities and met some great people. Overall, she did an incredible job and I was honored to be invited! Below are some of my favorite looks from her show.

I am so grateful that I got to experience New York Fashion Week this year. It has been a dream of mine for a long time. I just didn't think it would be possible for me at this point in my life- being a college student and all! But if blogging has taught me anything, it's that anything is possible! I can't wait for next year!
